ShapeWriter is a gesture keyboard technology developed for nearly a decade first by scientists at the IBM Almaden Research Center and later by engineers at ShapeWriter Inc. On December 31, 2008, ShapeWriter’s revolutionary text entry products were launched on three more platforms: Windows Mobile^TM, Android, and Windows XP/Vista^TM. Simultaneously ShapeWriter Pro 2.0, a major upgrade of ShapeWriter’s popular WritingPad 1.0 was also launched via iPhone’s App Store.
